Buddha's Sister Soma Seeds took second place at the 2001 High Times Cannabis Cup, in the Best Indica category. Previously Soma called the strain Soma Skunk V+, this strain was renamed to Buddha's Sister to suit her growing traits as well as increase her overall appeal in Amsterdam coffeeshops. 
 
The name change led to her quickly becoming a best-selling variety in the Amsterdam coffeeshops including the legendary De Dampkring coffeeshop. A sibling of Siddhartha, this tall and lanky genetics was crossed with Afghani and Hawaiian to increase the yield whilst also making her terp profile be more heavy and less sweet when compared to the Reclining Buddha in the lineage. Buddha's Sister has notes that taste like tart cherry candy with a similarly tart rather than sweet profile. The buds feel slippery and silky to the touch, meaning they have an abundance of greasy resin that helps ensure it can be used for killer hash. When manicuring your plants you'll be left with tons of killer finger hash that you won't want to wipe away. Buddha's Sister grows with a lot of lateral side branches, so it is better to grow as a multi-branch plant rather than using a sea of green, she will also thrive using SOG method with attentiveness and she does great hydroponically too. 
 
The fluffy bud structure that isn't too loose means it has great resistance to mould whilst still delivering substantial yields. Buddha's Sister is a 9-10 week flowering plant that is slightly indica dominant.
